What is with Cruiser Decals?

I spent the last couple of days washing, waxing and do general maintenance on my FF 189FBR. I noticed that one specific color of decal is cracking. The red and light gray decals are fine, only the darker gray decals are cracking. Aside from the fact that they get hotter in the sun, I wonder if there is anything different about the quality of the darker decals? Has anyone else noticed this?

Here is a picture of the dark gray decal. It is the only color that is cracking.

What year is your unit,? I would hazard a guess that the darker color would absorb not reflect more heat than the other decals. Also it looks like it is at the top of the trailer which might be exposed more to sunlight depending on what it is stored next to. Silverado
