Default Wireless Backup Camera ??? 229 VSD

Since I bought my trailer used and haven't picked it up yet I have a lot of questions. It says it has a wireless backup camera ? I didn't see a screen to mount in the truck. I guess I will call the sales person back and see if he knows if there is a screen to mount in the truck. I am not sure how useful it will be but it would be nice to have it working.

Does anyone have a 229 VSD ? and know this system ?

I am not sure it came with a screen. I saw a video that it sounded like it was camera ready ?

I am going to pickup the document package today. Maybe there will be something in there about the camera.

Our trailer came with a rear mount and prewired for a Furrion FRC12TA-BL backup system which was not highly rated when I checked on Amazon. I would suggest another brand, but voltage is available for a wireless system.

My wife is my backup camera. She's wireless and I get some static and feedback sometimes. Other than some minor maintenance, she works great

Yes it looks like it is just “roughed in” so I would need to buy the camera system and install it. I am not sure how much I would use it. Usually I have someone behind the trailer when I back up.

But my old trailer was quite a bit smaller. Maybe with this trailer being 26.5’ long I may need it.

A backup camera certainly would be nice. I spent some 12 transporting manufactured homes up to 16 feet wide and 85 feet long - often having to park them in some tight spaces without a 'spotter' as traveled alone.

A backup camera sure would have saved alot of trips in/out of the truck to check location of the rear of the unit and so didn't hit an obstruction.

Parking a little 30' camper is easier in some ways - but a backup camera would be a nice convenience.
