Countdown to my second annual summer tour
Last year was the first summer with a FunFinder X 189 FBR, and I logged over 14,000 miles with it behind my Toyota Tacoma, following the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
I'll be doing the same again this summer, for the following schedule.
May 21 Sacramento, CA
May 28 Wortham, TX
June 11 Mt. Morris, PA
June 18 Mechanicsville, MD
June 25 Lakewood, CO
July 2 Buchanan, MI
July 16 Millville, MN
July 23 Washougal, WA
August 13 New Berlin, NY
August 27 Southwick, MA
September 3 Delmont, PA
September 10 Pala, CA
I've fixed most of the trailer things that I wanted to cure after last season's inaugural trip. (I'm not sure if I broke it in, or it broke me in.) But with the countdown on, it's time to get the truck in for a tune-up and brakes, and figure out what other mods I want to try and accomplish before the season starts. I do want to upgrade the stereo in the truck (probably add a Sirius radio, so I'm not always hunting for stations, and I need to figure out something for mirrors to tow with. I left the stockers on last summer, and they're definitely lacking for when it comes to seeing around the trailer.
I do want to add some airbags on the rear suspension of the truck to make it just a bit more stable.
I also need to add a mount in the bed of the truck for my road (pedal) bike, and that's probably it...unless I figure out some other crazy scheme between now and then.
The countdown's on.
