I am curios what everyones thoughts are about the fires raging all over SD county. There are seem to be several major ones within few mile radius from Guajome.

As of this point Guajome park is not affected by the wildfires. I just got confirmation that Guajome is open. If that changes I will report that information. I will be at the park this afternoon and will update everyone if conditions warrant.

What a truly awesome weekend we had. It was so much fun spending the weekend with two other wonderful Fun Finder owner families. For those that missed out on this weekend, stay tuned because we will do this again.

At this time, I have to agree with MichT, we are a bit too far as well. I have one trip coming up in March and then, I am looking into going further up in May to maybe the MI U.P.; MichT and Jill have a handle on all the great spots up there ; maybe he'll share a great CG (with hook-ups) close to a great place to LEGALLY metal detect

Sounds like a plan. I will refer you to Jim DuFresne's best picks for the area of the UP you want to go to when you decide. We will be at Wilderness State Park at the top of the lower Peninsula on May 23rd. Maybe will will hit the UP sometime the end of June or midweek in July. Mid June we will be at in the Old Mission Peninsula.

May would be a good time for the UP probably. According to this guy avoid mid-June to Mid-July because of the flies ( and mosquitoes). We may adjust our visit time as well.
